On the Forum Today: the Centrist Cupcake

On FB today, someone who often comments on Catholic topics referred to Cardinal Archbishop Cupich as a "centrist."    I am not unaware of the declining quality of the Catholic hierarchy, but I never dreamed anyone could get away with so outrageous an insult.  Cupich has not only given  Dick Durbin, a powerful advocate for killing babies, a lifetime achievement award but promoted inclusion of homosexuals within the Church and consorted with openly Gay priests.

PS I'll try to feature all new posts on the front page.

It seems that “support for all illegal aliens” can cover a vast multitude of sins according to the USCCB. That might now be the measuring stick by which all other things are judged.

    That’s centrist post-Vatican II.

Although Cardinal Cupich offered the award, and Pope Leo XIV suggested Durbin’s lifetime work be considered, Durbin eventually refused to accept the award. As a long time politician, perhaps the Senator has less a tin ear than the Catholic hierarchy.
