Foreign Affairs, Episode 1: Russia, Turkey, and Trump

In this first episode of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Srdja Trifkovic and Dr. Tom Fleming discuss the downing of Russian jets by the Turkish military. Was the US involved? What does this mean for Erdogan? for Putin? They also discuss what the UK’s contribution will be now that they have joined the “coalition.” In the second part of the episode Dr. Trifkovic says that Donald Trump is saying the “unsayable” and while not having a true grasp of the issues, is expressing a visceral reaction that is causing people to look seriously at the idea of immigration - either via economic or security lenses.

Interesting conversation. It’s also worth pointing out that almost all our Christian religious leaders, who vow to become martyrs if necessary, refuse to defend us against the ruling elite, except occasionally attacking avarice in general. We have no Beckett or More or Fisher.

We don’t even have a Wolsey!

  3. John Seiler says:

Why didn’t Putin pull his ambassador from Ankara? My guess is there was an immediate Hotline conversation between Putin and Obama, each with about 7,500 nuclear weapons, to settle the matter. Erdogan is, as Trump would say, Obama’s “puppet.”
