Another great Fleming-Scott dialogue. I was always skeptical about the actual building of a wall and of its effectiveness in the absence of actual people to provide adequate resolve to keep illegals from surmounting it. The number one ingredient to stopping the flow is the will to stop it. And, in fact, the Trump administration is doing their best work simply enforcing existing laws. Looking forward to Part 2.

Dr Fleming, I got a kick out of your Lennon reference. I hope Rex wasn’t lobbing you a softball. Rex, since you are the rock ‘n’ roller here, let me ask you: do you think John Lennon’s most valuable contribution to the genre wasn’t so much the songs he wrote and performed, as that he was the guy who curbed McCartney’s schmaltziest impulses with his well-placed comments to the effect of “no, Paul, that’s stupid. We’re not putting that song on our albums.” A guitar teacher told me that nearly 30 years ago, after all those silly love songs had become hits during McCartney’s Wings phase.

Dr. Fleming & Rex Scott: Thank you for this very interesting podcast. Even the many First Nation tribes had their own borders.
Since we are territorial animals, border crossings will always be a problem unless a workable solution is implemented.
