Thanks for the link, JJ, though I must confess that I spend less and less time on these counter-factual sites. I am beginning to ponder some notions of someone I met years ago. Ched was born on the Iron Range in Minnesota and spent his life studying history. He has told me, over and over, that what we think we know is entirely false. He tells me he is writing a narrative account of some strange things and stranger people that have come his day. Maybe, just maybe, I can persuade him to share some of his reminiscences.
Good luck with getting Ched to share. He sounds like someone well worth the listening.
I think Ched is going to fictionalize somewhat, for the sake of protecting the innocent as well as the guilty.
