Heads Up!

All those who have read or are reading The Reign of Love are invited to take part in a discussion, perhaps chapter by chapter. All those who have read or are reading The Reign of Love are invited to take part in a discussion, perhaps chapter by chapter. Rex and I will be doing a podcast series, each installment of which will include questions sent in.  After the podcast, we'll continue discussion on the website.  So, whatever queries or comments you have, concerning the "Forward" and first chapter, start posting them.  We'll probably record the first podcast tomorrow, Thursday.

  1. Joe Porreca says:

“The poor, whom we always have with us, will be taken care of properly only when we freely behave as Christians and not when Caesar, at the point of a sword, requires us to render doubly unto him so that he can purchase political power with our tribute.” (p. 15)

Is there, then, any hope for the poor?

I am looking forward to it.

I received my copy at the same time as my latest order of used books was also coming in. In order not to misplace it and to make sure nothing happened to it, I put it in a box with those books. Several days later, I taped that box shut and took it down to the storage unit, not thinking about The Reign of Love being in there. Now I’ve got to go retrieve it from the box. Not my finest hour.

Dr Fleming’s book is in good company inside that box, with the likes of Belloc, Dostoyevsky, Solzhenitsyn, Gogol. Pushkin, Pasternak, Rothbard, Checkov, and Thomas a Kempis. It may not want to leave when I go get it.

Rex and I taped the show today but we got so carried away with discussing the “Forward” that we are saving Chapter 1 for next week.

The solution to Allen Wilson’s problem is not to get the book out of storage but to buy a copy for every room and one for the car.
