Tuscan Convivium

Our next program abroad is scheduled to begin roughly, for Oct 16/17 and will last 7 days with the possibility of additional days in Rome. If you are looking for the typical "If this is Tuesday, this must be Brussels, then it is not for you. We'll spend three days in Florence, doing our best to avoid the crowds and then move to quiet Arezzo, which has one of the greatest art-treasures in Italy. En route, we'll spend time in probably Greve, and from Arezzo make an excursion perhaps to Cortona or Montalcino.
We used to call these trips Convivia, because the schedule permits the small group--24 at the most, probably--to spend time together. We hold no balloons or umbrellas in the air and build in free time so that people can go off on their own or with a few others. We call it travel for grownups. After 24 years of doing this pretty regularly, we have some idea of what we are doing.
We shall be putting up free-access posts on Fleming.Foundation and on our Facebook page. Alternatively, you may just let me know, either on this post or via FB Messenger or email if you wish to get put on the list of people receiving information.

I am making plane reservations. I have to be in Oakland, California, for a wedding on October 16th and will not be able to fly out of Oakland for Italy until the 17th and will arrive on the 18th.

So I will have to miss 2 days at least, alas.

OF GREAT IMPORTANCE: PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE DAY ON WHICH THE ROME EXTENSION WILL CONCLUDE.

    Thanks.
