As America soon could become embroiled in yet another war. This time in Niger, a small country in Africa. Like Ukraine, most Americans couldn’t find it on a map even if you promised them a trip to Disneyland.
I like Ron DeSantis. He probably would be a pretty good president. But not this cycle. Reagan took three attempts: 1968, 1976 and 1980. Even Trump took two times, starting with his 2000 attempt for the now defunct Reform Party.
President Joe Biden is destroying the U.S. military in several ways. The first one you probably heard about: calling up 3,000 reservists. That might not seem like a lot, but it will have repercussions throughout all the military services.
Conservatives and libertarians still like to celebrate Independence Day, while grousing about how today’s U.S. government is multiples larger than that of King George III, tyrant. But liberals nowadays, despite controlling most of the levers of power, especially the presidency, use the occasion to condemn the Declaration of Independence and everything that followed. As I write this, on Rumble I’m watching Trump’s South Carolina rally for Independence Day weekend. A choir just sang “America the Beautiful.” Now Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is speaking, describing the House investigations into President Biden, which revealed $5 million in bribes; and 15 calls by Hunter Biden, as well as two with the Big Guy, with Ukrainian oligarchs, which she said made a mockery of Trump’s impeachment and his ongoing persecution by the Biden-Garland Justice Department.
Back in spring 1980 I was a Russian linguist in the U.S. Army stationed at a listening post east of Hamburg and just west of The Wall with East Germany. Not the Berlin Wall. This was The Wall that stretched from the Baltic Sea southward and separated East from West Germany. We used to listen to the Soviet Army practicing launching their nuclear missiles. One day I calculated the target position: Our position.
So far, no American forces have died in Ukraine. But that easily could happen as the Ukraine military’s ongoing offensive continues to falter.
Almost everything in America now is illegal. The old saying, “Don’t make a federal case of it,” no longer is heard, because now everything is a federal case.
If you want to see what’s really going on in America, go to a major Veterans Administration hospital. Since Covid, you can’t go inside unless you have business there. But walk around outside and go by the entrance.
