Fed Up: Why Trump Will Win

“Barnes was at the eye of our rage – and through him, our Captain Ahab – we would set things right again. That day we loved him.” – Chris in the Movie “Platoon.” “I’m fed up,” a friend told me last Sunday after church about why she’s voting for Donald Trump. That sums up the election for me. It’s why I’ve been saying for months that Trump will win big. Americans are fed up with: idiot foreign wars, political correctness, crony capitalism, the Clintons, the Bushes, economic stagnation, moral putrescence, repressive leftist professors, the Main Sleaze Media, “Pay to Play” politics, the Clinton Foundation,...

Jail Hillary to Prevent More Security Breaches

Back in my infancy I joined the U.S. Army, 1978-82, and became a Russian linguist in the National Security Agency for the last three years of that, stationed in West Germany. During boot camp and while learning Russian for a year at the Defense Language Institute in idyllic Monterey, Calif., the FBI performed a background check on me, interviewing family, friends and neighbors back in Michigan. They wanted to make sure I wasn’t a Soviet agent. I was given a Top Secret security clearance with Special Intelligence Access. I then received two months of cryptographic training at Goodfellow Air Force...

Truth-slinging Through the 2016 Campaign

When someone attacked “mud-slinging” in political campaigns, Mike Royko replied, “Well,  you can call it mud-slinging. But to me, all the rotten stuff they say about each other sounds true, so I call it truth-slinging.” He wrote that in 1992, during the first Clinton national campaign. That obviously has happened in this election which, I dearly hope, is the last one ever conducted by a Clinton. This time, while we really haven’t learned anything new about Donald Trump and Hillary Gorgon, what we have known has been emphasized with a thousand exclamation points. Donald Trump has been shown to be...

American Devils

“But one or two generations of vice are essential now; monstrous, abject vice by which a man is transformed into a loathsome, cruel, egoistic reptile. That’s what we need! And what’s more, a little ‘fresh blood’ that we may get accustomed to it…. Though the Russian people use foul language, there’s nothing cynical about them so far.” That’s Peter Verkhovensky, the revolutionary in Dostoevsky’s great novel, “The Devils.” It was published in 1871-2 and, sure enough, the communist revolution followed in 1917, 45 years later, two generations. Sure sounds like America over the past 50 years, doesn’t it? Our two...

Second Debate: Death and Transfiguration and Tom Kaine

Before I watch Tim Kaine debate again, I’m going to have Tom Hanks strap me into Old Sparky and pull the switch, as in “The Green Mile” movie. Basically, the Mark of Kaine said executing murderers is wrong according to his Catholic faith, but he did it as Virginia’s governor because that’s what voters wanted; that killing an unborn child is wrong, again according to his Catholic faith, but abortion should not be banned, even if voters want that, because doing so would violate a woman’s right to “choose,” similar to preventing her from choosing red over blue shoes; and...

First Debate Postmortem: Trump Won Where He Had To

Pundits and polls are all over the place on who “won” the First Debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Rodham Gorgon. But I haven’t seen any major analysis of how they did among those who will decide this election: suburban, white voters in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan. It’s because, assuming he wins Florida and North Carolina, which he likely will, those are the “swing states” he needs to win. Any combination of Ohio + Michigan or Pennsylvania and he’s in like Ronald Reagan. The New York Post reported from a bar in Youngstown, Pa., “[Ken] Reed, 35, is a registered...

9/11 Still Haunts 2016 Presidential Race

Without delving into “conspiracy theories,” the 15th anniversaries of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, continue to haunt America and the world, especially the 2016 election. 1. Hillary Clinton, currently running for president herself, was “co-president” for the eight-year run-up to the attacks. She’s running on her long experience in government. But the first (and one hopes only) Clinton administration left the country open to the attacks. For one, its open-borders immigration policy let in the 19 terrorists. For another, its obsession with bombing numerous foreign countries – Iraq, Serbia, Sudan – for no real reason except to keep...

Reckoning With Reality

Reality has a way of biting you in the posterior. Americans are finding that out the hard way. They’re going to find it out even more if voters put Hillary Clinton back in the White House. She basically has reassembled President George W. Bush’s Neocon Brain Trust. The Atlantic magazine keeps a tally of Republicans who are backing her, including these Neocons: Richard Armitage, Michael Hayden, John Negroponte, Paul Wolfowitz, Max Boot and Robert Kagan. Add that to the “neo-Liberal” interventionist Democrats she has gathered, and you have a powder keg of interventionist insanity. Kagan is married to Victoria Nuland,...

Trump’s Strategy for Victory

We’ve all come to know Donald Trump, or some version of him: real estate baron, reality TV star, target of biased leftist media, husband of three wives and father of four children, victor over 16 Republican rivals in the “bum of the week” primaries and supposedly guaranteed loser to the first female Supreme Leader come this Nov. 8. The odds are against him: The media assault is as relentless from neo“conservative” pundits eager to slaughter thousands more U.S. troops and millions more foreigners, in uniform and out. The country’s changing demographics increased those likely to vote against him while...

Merkel Mania, Hillary Insania

The unangelic Angela Merkel is the worst German chancellor after Hitler. Neither believed in borders. He erased borders by sending his panzers across them and absorbing the lebensraum into a Großgermanisches Reich. She erased borders by welcoming millions of “rapefugees” into her dissolving country. It’s not surprising she’s a “former” communist youth leader from Honecker’s East Germany. Unlike Vladimir Putin, who started out performing his “internationalist duty” as a KGB agent, but has become a Russian patriot, Merkel remains stuck in the borderless Marxist rhetoric of the 1969 DDR. According to the Daily Mail, “Angela Merkel’s open door policy to...
