f you are looking for someone to blame for the riots that destroy American cities, you might start with President Eisenhower, and his cadre of smug Republicans, who were willing to violate constitutional law and common sense in order to promote policies that made them proud of themselves. Without their high-minded social reforms, the concept of reparations would be laughed out of court and off the continent.

Disinformation, which we Russians lovingly nickname deza, differs from ordinary misinformation in that it is planted or spread knowingly, with malice aforethought and the intent to deceive. This looks good on paper, until a piece of fake news is actually before us and we start mulling it over, and then what is patently a case of carelessness or even of fraudulent intent may begin to take on the configurations of a gospel truth. That fake, after all, has not come out of nowhere. That fake is almost always a palimpsest of earlier fakes, and as one’s mind keeps burrowing deeper...
Finally. No more lies about police brutality and the legacy of slavery. Black Lives Matter goes on the record with its mission statement. BLM organizer Ariel Atkins, describing the looting in Chicago as ‘reparations,’ declared:
“I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats, that makes sure that person has clothes.”
Prediction time: Trump will win on November 3 because he has supported our gun rights. Whereas the Democrats have not only continued to assault our Second Amendment “right to keep and bear arms,” but have allowed antifa/BLM rioters to burn down our cities.
My list of vital but neglected problems includes the threat to freedom of speech and democratic government from control of the so-called social media by a handful of unelected men. These people seem to consider themselves masters of the universe who can force Americans in a direction they want us to go.
