On the morning of December 18, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer tweeted, “The impeachment of a president is a solemn and serious moment for our country.” Just a few hours later, when the House actually “impeached” President Trump, the word was twisted to also mean: a seemingly serious action, but really a joke, as in my headline to this article.
